The Brief: The client renovated part of the house to make room for a playschool. The front of the house, therefore, needed to be upgraded with some extra parking & easy access for toddlers & their parents. With water restrictions in place, the client required a stylish, modern garden with colour but low water requirements. The property is on a corner plot with a steep slope. In order to improve access to the entrance, the plot was leveled out by creating terraces. Mass planting with sour fig (Carpobrotus edulis), together with a patch of artificial lawn created some contrast with the brown stone-chip.
